Ave Verum Corpus (K. 618) is a motet composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The text is based on a eucharistic hymn from the 14th century. Mozart wrote the piece in the summer of 1791 for the cantor of the parish of Baden, Anton Stoll. The piece has a gentle and serene character. Mozart would die 6 months later. This work is written for SATB + piano.
